Barranco and Al Toke Pez

Time to go to Barranco. Our bus today was straight forward both ways and without the traffic or aimless wanderings of the previous day.
Barranco used to be a resort town and is nowadays an upscale suburb. That helped it to avoid the fate of sad coastal former English resort towns.
It is full of nice building, a centre for street art, exodus to a sea (not so appealing), ice creams, and a vulture shelter on the top of a destroyed church.
On the way back less than half a pound got us back near Surquillo 1 market (not as interesting as Mercado Central or Surquillo 2) but 15 minutes from Al Toke Pez. A very simple place, where the chef after dropping a comfortable life of managing a reputable Lima restaurant left to him by his father, opened this small place where he cooks fresh chevice, fried calamari, and sea food rice or whatever the fish market brings with a very simple kitchen. But he follows his own path.
Evening at a nearby craft beer place where we drank Pisco drink instead.
