Well our travels are drawing to a close. Our last full day today. We leave Vietnam tomorrow. Also Argiris' birthday. We spent the day visiting the Women's Museum in the morning and the aquarium in the afternoon.
On the way to the Aquarium, at the bus stop we spoke, as we were waiting for the bus, to a young woman from Saigon who was going to the airport. She was an environmental and renewable consultant. The Vietnamese government made a huge push for renewable energy 4-5 years ago, inviting foreign investors but apparently this has now slowed down because the old national grid could not absorb all the renewable energy generated. It seems many governments around the world can not find their way with renewable. Pity. She was though still hopeful.
Anyway back to the neighbourhood with high rise plush apartments, shopping mall, and the Aquarium.
All of which Argiris seemed to enjoy / tolerate well. But the evening was definitely made for him.
A Korean bbq restaurant was what he fancied. So Woomaster aging steakhouse fit the bill perfectly. The evening was pretty special, not just because the pitmaster himself got to cook the food, but it was a delicious selection of partly grilled cuts of a variety of different steaks waiting for us to finish off at the table. Brilliant birthday celebration.
The place was open for just over 6 months but hits all the right notes with a brilliant Korean BBQ
We were treated to a birthday dessert
A quick beer after at Bros and back at the hotel where another cake waited us
Thoroughly enjoyed.
