The largest temple site in SE Asia and Trang An boat

The morning was cold and drizzling so the lady from the hotel suggested we go to the Bai Dinh pagoda complex first, one of the largest at SE Asia. We shared the taxi and the experience there with two ladies from Australia (mum and daughter).

The place is magnificent with a series of temples, pagoda, small lakes, stupa

It is an impressive area. You go with an electric car up to a point and then you walk. Plenty of steps involved but easy enough.

Despite the crowd of visitors was serene enough at places.

The statues were nice on detail or when they were representing Buddha mighty impressive.

The afternoon we went on a small boat tour at An Trang complex. It is touristic but also a nice experience following the river among the hills that were growing out of the water, caves shorter and longer and temples on the rocks

It is a long trip of 3h. The weather had improved and the conditions ideal.

A nice experience with a skilful driver and a bit of rowing from us too.

Back at the hotel and ready for our evening and the morning train trip to Hanoi.
