Last day in Penang and a nice place to spend the evening

Today we decided to go to the NW of Penang to the Pantai Pasir Panjang a beach near an army base.
The setting was nice, the sea cooler than yesterday but warm, but jelly fish made it's appearance. Admittedly it was not from the very painful ones but still irritating for 40 mins or so.
This did not stop us from staying couple hours as it did not stop the patient fisherman
We stopped in a small fish restaurant Jiang Sang, next to the fish market and had fried pomfret. This was after we saw a long Monitor Lizard at the intersecting river who clearly appreciated the environment.
Later we were determined to go for Laksa. We went to Laksalicious where we had a combination of Atam and Lemok laksa (sour and creamy). Good but not exceptional.
Well we heard of this place which proved great. Antarabangsa Enterprise is part shop part bar. You drag chairs and table from the store room, go and buy your drinks (wine good and much cheaper than the supermarkets) , sit down, start conversation, sip the night away.
A sixties couple we talked to were travelling for 20 years, yes not a typo. They sold everything and embarked on this trip (with some additional financial help from the parent of the lady). She used to teach English abroad and he was a cartographer.
They remember the days they could live in Thailand with £7 a day. We chatted few hours about trips and families before leaving to pack our luggages.
