Singapore and Malaysia What is the score

Well we arrived at the end of this travel and on the way back we avoided the consequences of a crazy war by travelling with Cathays via Hong Kong as planned. Of course this is a minor thing compared to hundreds dying or thousands displaced by this new war.
Back to the trip. Singapore is a half sterilised edition of South East Asia. It is clean as Austria used to be on the 80s and it doesn't feel as strict as portrayed. The classic sites are beautiful but the Hawker centre food is worth hunting for. Small restaurants are equally good and the public transport if you stay near a metro make everything effortless. Its bars
and its large Botanic garden are great places to wind down.
Malaysia is more raw but almost as developed and easy to navigate. Rent a car for a while (though it is not cheap) and wander. With its touristic nuisances in Malaka and Langkawi but with its wonderful spots even in these places is a good place to spend a couple weeks immersing effortlessly to a blend of cultures.
And this is ultimately what both Singapore but mainly Malaysia leave you with. A well earned coexistance of some of the great cultures and religions. The Chinese the Hindu and the Malay culture seem to live together without much fight or overt discrimination. You can meet them all in the same road's religious temples or the happy polite coexistence in public transport. Singapore and Malaysia perhaps, for us, are not as memorable as Vietnam or Thailand but their history is comparatively new. But veer a bit off the main known spots, take time to observe around you and they are dynamic, easy to travel through, and enjoy their nice people, cultures, and wonderful food.
Thank you for showing us another way.
