We're citybound today, saying goodbye to the beautiful countryside and coastline. We have two days in Christchurch, and as it's forecasting rain tomorrow, we thought we would explore the outdoor attractions today and save the museum and art gallery for tomorrow. The city is easy to walk around, although taking the tram might be fun.

We walked around the riverside market, host to many food stalls and street food places. We'll be back for lunch tomorrow.

Beautiful street art.

In the afternoon we spent a lovely couple of hours in the Botanical Gardens. A must see.

All kept so neatly with trimmed lawns and no weeds anywhere. Beautiful.
Quick rest at the hotel and after mush deliberation it was the Soul Quarter that won our vote for an evening meal. It was good food. A waffle fried chicken with honey as a shared starter was followed by venison rump and a lamb rump. Both really yummy. The lamb could have fed 2 and for Argiris to say that takes a lot...
