An early morning swim in the pool started our day, followed by a feast of a breakfast.
Colon., the HCM chinatown occupies approximately a quarter of the city and was interesting and different.. We took the bus (1)

there which was priced at 10 p and took about 25 minutes from the centre (not including the drivers pitstop to buy some food).

The cost of this was 3000 VND which is about 10pence. The roads are very busy, even on a Sunday, mostly with mopeds.
Many small shops along the streets selling everything imaginable. One street, named after a famous physician Lan Ong, specialised in herbal medicines and concoctions. This was fascinating.
A beautiful Temple, place where many came to worship, was a haven of peace from the noises of the traffic.
The central market of the area was a densely populated Aladdin's Cave of everything imaginable, from foods, clothes, kitchen items, you name it.
Prawn, fried fish, liver, crab meat, slippery noodles in the same soup does not sound appetising for lunch inside the market but it was steaming hot and very very tasty.
Return by bus 39 for some rest. The afternoon a coffee at the appartment coffee building, in Meraki this time, and then an IPA bier in the 7 Bridges a Da Nang brewery.

In the evening we thought to leave the street food and at some still nice and casual food in Quan Bui. The owner a former waiter managed somehow to create 1 and then 2 and now 5 establishments that pay homage to all region of Vietnam. Food was good, well priced although we definitely had some problems with using the rice cakes as wrapsThe return showed a city centre full of young people either in bars and restaurants, if they could afford it or in simple side pavements or just watching the world go by.
A city full of lights at each precious buildings
