There are some times cities that take some time to win you over. There are cities that are difficult to get under their skin. HCM does not seem to be one of them. From the street vendors to the colonial French buildings and the smiling people going on with their business, it's random pho places, it's coffee culture it wins you quickly.
Walking in the city is facinating. Dodging the mopeds become a necessary skill.

A simple pho lunch with beef was delicious and very inexpensive at £2. The New Year celebrations continue.
Our first voyage into the coffee culture brought us to this old apartment block, now boasting small coffee shops, bars and restaurants on every floor. 3000vnd gets you up in the lift, redeemable when you order something. We selected a traditional coffee with milk rather than an egg yolk.
Seems like all we did was walk eat and drink yesterday, 😂😂
After our first taste of local craft beer, a jasmine IPA we ate street food in the night market. Delicious and very cheap.
